Bill & Angela Mannion (19246)
Tennessee State Directors
Well, hello from Texas! Angela & I are partially wintering down in Alamo, Texas at Trophy Gardens RV Park. The weather has been really nice with most days in the mid-70s with nights going into the 50s. Almost perfect weather. Our winter trip started in December with family Christmas in Pennsylvania further north to Charlotte for some chassis work. So, know its mid-January and freezing, with nothing left to do but to high tail it down south to Texas.
On the way down to Texas, we stopped in at Chattanooga to work out some pre-rally arrangements. This year we are hosting our first Tennessee State Rally as State Directors. The rally is being held at the Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga from May 20-24. As you read this, the rally is currently sold out, but since plans are meant to be changed, please contact my email to get onto the waiting list.
An action-packed rally awaits those who signed up already. A tour of the National Medal of Honor Museum and a dinner cruise on the Southern Belle Riverboat. And that’s just the first full day! We also have scheduled two train rides. The first being on the Tennessee Valley Railroad and the second on the Incline railway to the top of Lookout Mountain. The wonderful and talented Melissa Ellis, singer and songwriter from Crossville, Tennessee will entertain us on Thursday evening after dinner.
The new President and Secretary of the Tennessee Volunteer Krusiers, Warren & Kathy Todd, have really hit the ground running. Hosting a local luncheon and their first rally at Big Meadow Family Campground in Townsend, Tennessee. There’s more info about the chapter’s activities found in his Legacy article.
I’d love to hear from any members in western Tennessee for ideas as to where to hold a state rally over in your neck of the woods. Please contact me at my email below.
Angela & I will be attending the International Rally in Colorado this summer and hope to see many friends there again. We missed the last two Internationals, so we are really looking forward to the trip out west.
