George and Terri have been traveling through the United States and around the world since they met 25 years ago. In 2002, George converted a Prevost seated touring bus to a motorhome. They enjoyed it for 10 years, visiting 49 states in 102,000 miles, including Alaska and much of Canada. Their RV travels have taken them to 49 states and 9 provinces; and they have traveled internationally throughout Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and French Polynesia. They now have a second home on Kauai, Hawaii, where they live half the year and spend the other half in their RV.
George spent 20 years in the Air Force as a biomedical engineer. After meeting Terri, he became a nurse, and is now retired from intensive care nursing. He is also a ham radio operator and a great “fix-it” man. When they married, Terri introduced him to RVing and he hasn’t stopped since!
Terri was an obstetric nurse and midwife for over 40 years. She also retired after 20 years in the Air Force (although they never met during their military careers). She is now retired from nursing, enjoying their free time with the grandsons and looking forward to riverboat and ocean cruising. Terri started RVing as a child with her family. She enjoys quilting and genealogy.
With family spread across the country from North Carolina to Texas to California to South Korea, they always have an excuse to travel. They are excited about the enthusiastic response of Newmar Kountry Klub members to the new Hawaii chapter. We look forward to exploring the beautiful islands with you as well as becoming a real “ohana” (family) at our mainland rallies.
