Hawaii Aloha Aires Chapter – Presidents
Spring in the Hill Country of Texas is breathtaking. Come join the eight couples currently registered for the first Aloha Aires mainland rally, April 14-17. We have lots of fun activities planned including a visit to the Nimitz National Museum of the Pacific War, one of the premier military museums in the nation; enjoying live music at Luckenbach, Texas, home of “Willie, Waylon & the boys”; a driving tour and stop at Wildseed Farm to enjoy the wildflowers; traditional Texas barbeque and German meals; and of course, fellowship with old and new Newmar friends.
Did you know that when Lyndon Johnson was president, his wife, Lady Bird, adopted beautifying highways and the countryside as her project. The Highway Beautification Act spread the beauty of wildflowers across the country. The Johnson White House ranch and Lady Bird Johnson National Wildflower Center are within easy driving distance of our campground.
Also nearby is Enchanted Rock State Park, a pink granite mountain that has been a destination for native Americans, pioneers, modern hikers. And while you’re enjoying all that the Hill Country has to offer, you can extend your visit and join the Texas Lone Star NKK Chapter which is hosting a rally in Kerrville (26 miles south) on April 20-23.
