See why Bardstown is the “Bourbon Capital of the World.” Visit Bernheim Forest, a 16,000-acre arboretum, see the Forest Giants and take a hike on one of the many trails. Walk the streets of historic Bardstown and do some shopping in the many unique small stores. Enjoy a dinner at Talbott Tavern, built in 1779, which served as a stage coach stop. You will have a free day to go check out any of the Bourbon Distillers in the area. Visit My Old Kentucky Home Museum, Old Bardstown Village Civil War Museum, Oscar Getz Museum of Whisky History, Spalding Hall or the Basilica of St Joseph Proto-Cathedral, just to name a few.
