Mid-Atlantic State Directors and New Jersey Garden Aires Secretary

Barbara & I hosted the first Mid Atlantic States Rally at the Ocean City Campground and Beach Cabins in Ocean City, New Jersey.  The venue for this rally was outstanding with beautiful sites and a brand new pavilion that looked like it came out of the Adirondacks in upstate New York. One of the most beautiful attractions was the fireplace at the end of the pavilion where we kept a welcoming fire to ward off the spring chill.

The staff at the Campground was also amazing in that they could not do enough for us.  The rally was well attended with 23 coaches and many officers from near and far.  The rally was attended by officers from the Chesapeake Travelers (Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia), New Jersey Garden Aires along with the State Directors from New York and Tennessee.  Our Region 7 Directors were also in attendance and spoke to the group about all the positive changes that were coming from the Klub.

It didn’t take long after we arrived home that we were notified by those in attendance that they wanted to return to the same location for next year’s State Rally.  So, we have reserved 15 sites at the same campground. A special thank you to Marc & Kathy Burel, members of the New Jersey Garden Aires, our chefs extraordinaire for the meals they cooked and provided.  And, of course, they will return once again providing us with some excellent cooking and feasts for our palates!
