2027 Independence and Innovation – Special Event

Reservations will open September 2nd at 1:00PM EST.

Join us for a journey to America’s birthplace. This two-location experience begins in Philadelphia, at the heart of the nation’s fight for independence. We’ll walk through historic Independence Square, where the Declaration of Independence was signed, the Constitution was drafted, and the first American flag was sewn. A guided city bus tour will showcase Philadelphia landmarks such as LOVE Park, Boathouse Row, and the Rocky Steps, while a citywide food tour will feature local favorites including Philly cheesesteaks, soft pretzels, and cannoli. We’ll also visit Eastern State Penitentiary and the vibrant Reading Terminal Market. In addition, we’ll tour two DuPont sites: Winterthur, the grand 175-room estate and gardens, and the original gunpowder factory where the DuPont Company began. All Philadelphia-area sightseeing will be by luxury motorcoach.

From Philadelphia, we’ll travel north into eastern Pennsylvania’s scenic Lehigh Valley and Pocono Mountains, exploring the industry and innovation that helped shape America. We’ll visit Bethlehem, the nation’s first industrial town, and tour landmarks of American craftsmanship and manufacturing, including Bethlehem Steel, Mack Trucks, and Martin Guitars. Other highlights include Yuengling, the oldest continuously operating brewery in the U.S.; the No. 9 Coal Mine, the nation’s oldest tourable coal mine; and an afternoon in Jim Thorpe, where many industrial leaders built their mansions. Along the way, we’ll learn about the Pennsylvania Dutch, Moravian, and Irish cultures that influenced the region. Transportation for this portion of the event will be by private vehicle.

At both destinations, you will be able to enjoy a free day to explore these historically and culturally rich areas at your own pace.
