California Golden Aires Chapter – Presidents
What a crazy time it is…As we sit here in our coach on the Ventura California coast – gorgeous spot right on the ocean – we have just recovered from a history making tropical storm and of all things…a 5.1 earthquake about 16 miles away! Ok, alright, no need to laugh. But to California it was a big darn deal.
Anyway, we’ve just posted the information for our 2024 Chapter Rally on the NKK Calendar, and we’ve had a huge response. Pleased as punch, we are. It’s on the shore of Lake Elsinore. The Board – Peats & Rutherfords – are full speed ahead on plans for this rally. We’re quite excited and are pursuing some new and interesting plans for all of our attendees. Register today!
Also, we’ve got our first No Host Rally event coming up in November, right after the Region One Rally, out in the high desert community by Calico Ghost Town. It’s a No Host Rally – keeping it simple and relaxing for all. Join us there for a few days around the campfire.
So, my schooling in RV cooking is slowly advancing, but mostly due to the fact we haven’t been out for the summer. But I had to do something so being at the Ventura beach for a week and having our 4 yr old grandson visit us, I decided we had to roast weenies on a stick. Ok so it was a 2-pronged telescoping “stick”, but you get the idea. It went ok, it was our first time as well as his, but I found that it was more difficult than a marshmallow. Sort of overcooked on one half and undercooked on the other. Thank goodness we won’t have to do that again for quite a while. Might be easier to work on my convection microwave skills.
We’ll be leaving shortly to start our trek, via Rocky Mountain National Park and Kansas, to the International Rally in Sedalia Missouri. See y’all there!
No matter where you go, near or far…Safe Travels!
