Washington State Directors
Greetings from the sunny banks of Sequim Bay and the Evergreen Aires Rally at John Wayne Waterfront RV Park. Our hosts were more than wonderful, which can be challenging with such a large group. We’ve had a wonderful time here and hate to see it end. There were several new couples attending and it is always interesting to meet new people from around the state and country. As some of you know Sequim is known for having the driest climate in Western Washington because it sits in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains, and it did not disappoint. It is also known for its beautiful lavender farms and several of us took the pleasure of visiting some of the farms as the lavender is in full bloom right now. Sequim is also the gateway to Olympic National Park and several attendees took advantage and visited the park.
Our recent travels have taken us to the Methow Valley in north central Washington, and to the banks of the Skagit river near Concrete. Two of our favorite places to park our rig for a few days. Both of which happened to me on the North Cascades Highway.
We are looking forward to seeing some of you at our Washington State Rally September 6-10 in Airway Heights, Washington at the Northern Quest RV Resort. The Spokane area has lots to offer, and we have lots of fun things planned.
Until next time keep the wheels turning and on the road. Enjoy your summer.
