Beautiful autumn greetings from the great Pacific Northwest, where autumn is always the perfect time of year. What a wonderful summer it was, and we hope all of you enjoyed the warm sunshine and the long days as much as we did. Only people that live here can understand just how wonderful it is to have the sunlight stretch well into the evenings which bring such a gorgeous glow at sunset.
Well, our summer was filled with camping adventures throughout the northwest and even a few days at sea onboard a cruise ship. From the northern most part of Washington to the Oregon Coast and back to Idaho we enjoyed spending time with friends and making new friends at many rallies during our travels. Our final rally was the Region 2/Washington State combined rally in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho at the end of September. Reporting on that rally and the travels that took us to Coeur d’Alene will be in our next installment. We spent July 4th camping along the banks of the Sol Duc River in the Forks area, and a good portion of August camped in Birch Bay. September found us back in Twisp enjoying both the local rodeo, and the wonderful Saturday farmers market there. Then it was on to Newport, Oregon for the Oregon State rally, the first state rally in Oregon in several years. Thank you to DJ & Linda Thommen for stepping up to take on the task of rebuilding NKK chapters in Oregon.
Mark your calendars for we have already made our reservation for the Washington State Rally in 2025. September 12-16 will be the dates, and we will be circling our wagons at Stargazer RV Park in Goldendale, Washington along the Columbia River, home of Maryhill Winery and the Goldendale Observatory. Starry, starry nights along with stunning views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams make this a great destination for our rally. For those of you that may have aged out of RVing but would like to join us there is a Quality Inn hotel next door to Stargazer available for lodging. We hope to see you all there. As plans come together, we will be posting registration guidelines for this rally.
