The long hot summer of 2023 has continued for most of us in Region Three, and in Texas we have certainly experienced the dregs of summer! Some of us have been fortunate enough to escape for a while. Mike & I went to our traditional getaway in Ruidoso, New Mexico. For those of you who have been there in the summer, you know that it is totally inundated with Texans! As we arrived at our normal camping spot, Ruidoso Motorcoach Ranch, we thought that we had arrived at a Newmar rally! It was not surprising to see so many Newmar coaches, but as we visited with the owners it was surprising that so many knew nothing about the Kountry Klub. We decided to host a Newmar gathering. The park has a beautiful patio and they graciously turned it over to us for a hot dog cookout. It was great fun and good advertising. We will be seeing new members as a result!

As this is written, we are looking forward to seeing some of them at the International Rally in Sedalia as well as our Texas State Rally, which will take place immediately after the International Rally.

On a sad note, we are so sorry to hear that Larry & Patsy Wood have given notification of their retirement from their position as Region Three Directors. It has been a pleasure working with you and we will still look forward to seeing you on your travels.
