Texas State Directors

Spring has definitely been to Texas. This year the wildflowers were a glorious array of colors. Of course, we love the bluebonnets, but many others are equally beautiful! We know that the summer heat is on the way, and we certainly appreciate our air conditioning. If you don’t live here but want to visit, just remember that Texas summers can be brutal.

Our Kountry Lone Stars South group has held two very successful rallies this spring. In March, they went to Abilene and in April they went to Kerrville. Both rallies were great events and well attended. In fact, in April, 10 new rigs (with their owners) joined the Klub. It certainly is encouraging and challenging as it becomes more difficult to find campgrounds that can accommodate such large groups.

As State Directors, we want to continue to thank the chapter officers and the rally hosts for the fabulous job they have done. You are setting a very high standard.

As always, we want to encourage everyone to get involved whether it is at the chapter level or by participating in regional or international rallies. The Region Three Rally in Branson will be great fun as well as the International Rally in Sedalia. Get involved, volunteer, meet new friends!

We also want to thank all of you who sent good wishes and prayers for Mike after his lengthy battle with pancreatitis. He was hospitalized 5 times between January 1 and March 17. We are happy to say he is on the mend, and we are looking forward to seeing many of you soon.
