Summer travel is upon us, and we hope that everyone has been out seeing this great country and marking a few things off your bucket list. Whether you are headed to a National Park, State Campgrounds, Newmar Rally, or an epic road trip we hope that it will be the best ever. We have learned in our travels that road construction is a part of each day and being flexible is the key. Just recently while we were on a 4-hour traffic delay, we were reminded that a bathroom and the ability to have a sandwich are so appreciated.
We recently made a trip to the Newmar Service Center in Nappanee and what an experience that was! From the campground to the service techs and the facility, everything was top notch. I heard from others that the train can be loud, and I thought, “Oh, it will be ok.” But just an FYI, the train is very close and runs quite frequently, but by the end of the week we had kinda gotten used to it. The 6 am wakeup call was a little rough at first; but, just like the train, we kinda got used to it. We had the opportunity to visit the Klub Office and talk to Linda and pick up some supplies. It was nice to visit in person. Thank you, Linda and DeAnn for all you do to keep the Klub going. A factory tour was on the agenda that week also, and it was so fun and interesting. We had been on one back in 2016 and were impressed then, but the new tour was even better and a lot of fun. If you are ever headed that way for service or just passing through, call Newmar Customer Service and see about doing the tour. It is well worth your time. Nappanee is a great little town, and we enjoyed our week.
The Region Three Rally in Branson, Missouri was a blast. The Sight and Sound Theater production of Queen Esther, the hillbilly evening with entertainment by the Homestead Pickers, lunch and tour of the College of the Ozarks, and The Shepherd of the Hills Play were all fantastic. Congratulations to Patsy for taking the Hillbilly Prize. Larry did us proud with his Rooster imitation with the band. We met some new friends and caught up with old friends. Thank you, Larry & Patsy, for such a great time.
The International Rally is September 30-October 7 in Sedalia, Missouri. Registration is now open, and we hope that you can attend. Region Three will be responsible for Parking and Registration. We helped last year, and it was a great way to meet Klub members from all over the United States and Canada. There are also plenty of other areas that will need volunteers through the week. Please take a look at these opportunities at registration and sign up to help.
In your travels, be sure to check out any Newmar Kountry Klub events along the way that pique your interest. We hope that the remainder of 2023 will be full of travel and new adventures along with making new friends and meeting up with old friends along the way.
