Greetings from Kansas! Hello everyone, hope you’re doing well. We attended the Region Three Rally in Branson, Missouri and had a really, really swell time. The hosts provided many activities and places to go and see on your own. It was wonderful seeing a bunch of people we haven’t seen since the International Rally last year.

Last month, July 13-16, in Seneca, Kansas at Bailey’s RV Resort & Campground was a Sunflower Chapter rally. The first-time hosts, Randy & T Rice (23628) teamed up with past Kansas State Directors Larry & Sherry DeWitt (11440-L). What a truly wonderful and special rally!

If you live in Kansas, the International Rally in Sedalia, Missouri is just 90 miles east of Kansas City. If you haven’t been, now is the time to register. If you would like to drive in together, send us an email or give us a call, and we will try and hook you up with someone on your time schedule.

We were in St. Louis for a hospital visit recently and had a problem with getting a jack stored. We called four or five RV mobile service techs until we found one available in less than 2-3 weeks. Finally found a tech who could come out the next afternoon. I was kept updated by texts. Once he arrived (15 mins early), he managed to bleed the lines and store the jacks. He was professional and courteous. I paid by credit card, and we were off driving home the next morning. What was different about this RV mobile tech was, he texted the following day to ask if we made it home okay. How nice! Didn’t ask for a rating or sell us anything. Just a plain and simple text checking on us. So next time, when a tech is working in the hot sun for you, check on his well-being.

Due to Jeanette’s medical condition, this is our last year as Kansas State Directors. The Kansas Kountry Sunflowers members are very active, hosting two to three rallies a year plus the Kansas State rally. Most of our members travel out of the state to warmer weather in the winter. So, we know EVERY Sunflower member would enjoy the experience and is capable of the Kansas State Director position.
