Arkansas State Directors
The ice and snowstorms have gone, and February brought unusually warm weather to Arkansas. Spring is so beautiful in Arkansas with the red bud, service berry, and dogwood trees decorating the countryside. Late February brought weather mild enough to visit Nappanee for our yearly winter checkup. It’s nice to be able to do maintenance during the winter months, allowing us to enjoy the upcoming spring rallies.
It’s never too early to make reservations for the rallies our hosts have planned. Early reservations make planning rallies easier on our hosts. We have made our reservations to join several rallies in April and May including the Hawaii Aloha Aires Mainland Chapter Rally, Texas Kountry Lone Stars South April Chapter Rally and of course our Arkansas Razorback Kountry Klub Chapter May Rally in Hot Springs Village. Have you made your reservations?
We are so lucky to have Jim & Becky Nueses host a rally in Hot Springs Village where you can only camp in the village campground if you are sponsored by a village resident. They have so many fun events planned, so be sure and let them know you will be there. In addition to rally events, you may want to enjoy golf, fishing or visit the Hot Springs National Park. Hot Springs Village is home to nine golf courses and eleven beautiful lakes. This is one you won’t want to miss!
Mountain View, Arkansas is the location we have chosen for our State Rally. Mountain View is the folk music center of the state. We reserved sites at Ozark RV and Cabins in Mountain View that are within walking distance of the Ozark Folk Center State Park. It even has a special gate entrance for us to use. We will also be touring one of the best kept secrets in the state, Blanchard Springs Cavern. The cavern is operated by the US Department of Agriculture.
Hope to see you at the rallies this year. If you have questions about our chapter or upcoming events, please contact us at 479-903-1327 or MarkleyNKK@gmail.com.
