Winter is upon us and Jack Frost has made an appearance. We are looking forward to the holidays with family and friends. It is pretty quiet here in Region 6. The campgrounds have been shut down since mid-October and many of our members have traveled SOUTH for the winter. And, oh yes, there are those of us that remain here in the cold and have sadly had to put our motorhomes in hibernation for a brief rest. Our escape from the cold for a short while will be when we are taking the NKK Hawaiian Cruise late February into early March. It will be nice to break up the long winter months with a trip to Hawaii with our Newmar family!! It is always a blessing to see and spend time with our Newmar friends. Enjoying warmer weather and escaping the cold in Michigan for a short time is an added bonus!
As we get closer to the start of the 2025 Newmar rally season up here we are finishing up our plans for the Region 6 Rally being held September 4-8th. We will be staying at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in Mackinaw City, Michigan. If you plan to attend our Region 6 Rally, please reserve your spot asap. The campground will only hold the Newmar group spaces until May 1st, after that there is no guarantee that they will have a space in our group area. The campground has over 700 sites so, there are plenty of sites. Check out the NKK website for ongoing and updated information.
We would like to CONGRATULATE and WELCOME Gregg & Becky Laird as the new OHIO STATE DIRECTORS! We are very excited to have them working with us and the two Ohio chapters: The Buckeye Kountry Travelers & The Lake Erie Drifters. The Buckeye Kountry Travelers have now elected an entire set of officers who are in the process of planning for the 2025 rally season.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF REGION 6 STATE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, MEMBERS, RALLY HOSTS & VOLUNTEERS for 2024!! We could not have all these GREAT events without all the hard work and dedication from our entire NEWMAR FAMILY!!
Region 6 is in charge of Parking & Registration at the International Rally in Lewisburg, West Virginia. June 7-14. If you would like to be a volunteer, please contact us. Volunteers will need to arrive on June 4th by 12:00 pm. We can be reached by email:nkkregion6@gmail.com.
