Steve & Phyllis Thornburg (22044)
Indiana State Directors
By the time this writing reaches its readers, we will be well into the 2023 camping and rallying season and hopefully everyone will be enjoying their travels and their experiences with their Newmar RVs. There are lots of Klub activities and camping opportunities around us, in our own Region Six and across the nation for us to enjoy and a plethora (how do you like that one?) of wonderful people to meet and make new friendships as well as renew old friendships.
Why do we, all of us, enjoy attending rallies and special Klub events? Seeing the sights and counting off the famous landmarks and national or state parks and putting new state stickers on your “States Visited” map are all great goals and fun reasons to enjoy the traveling lifestyle, but the interpersonal relationships and friendships that we develop on the road and in the campgrounds create far more valuable and lasting memories than seeing piles of rocks or waterfalls. What is better than sharing a lot of awesome food at a campground potluck meal and sharing fun and funny stories and experiences around a somewhat smoky campfire – with or without s’mores.
Keep your eye on the Newmar Kountry Klub website (www.newmarkountryklub.com) Klub Calendar section and read your Legacy Magazine to be aware of all of the Klub activities available to you. Remember, as NKK members, you are able to attend any NKK or local chapter activity that you will be close to if there is space available. Guess this sounds a bit like a commercial, but HEY, WE LOVE TO RALLY!
I may not have lost all my marbles yet, but there’s a small hole in the bag somewhere….
Phyllis said “Beware of a new Amazon scam – my husband ordered me some expensive jewelry, but motorhome parts came instead. Thankfully, they fit our motorhome.”
We look forward to seeing you all soon and frequently. Travel safely and stay sane….
