Indiana Hoosier Kountry Klub Chapter – Presidents
Hello, all Newmar Kountry Klub members, Region Directors, HKK Members, Chapter Presidents and Newmar Corp. management as well as a special welcome to our new, soon to be, International Directors Duane & Laurie.
For all those who were on the Alaska Cruise it was a real pleasure being with you and for those who missed the adventure you missed a great time had by all on board as we were up close with whales, orca’s, seals, bears, bald eagles, glaciers, mother nature and a whole lot of food. Mike Steele, a fellow HKK member and I won the contest for the tallest stack of Dungeness crab shells at 16-1/4”. We both ate eight Dungeness leg clusters followed by two lobsters after returning to the ship. We are both looking to devour seafood again soon.
As soon as we returned home from the Alaskan cruise, we prepared for the next HKK rally in French Lick Indiana at Patoka Pines. Once again, a great time was had by all who attended. Returning home from French Lick, as this is written, we are preparing for our next two events, the International Rally in Sedalia, Missouri followed by a 3-day event at Sauder Village in conjunction with the Lake Erie Drifters October 10-14.
Most important for all HKK members is our 2024 schedule. As of today, we are finalizing plans for a Hoosier Balloon Festival, a Strawberry Festival, and a rally to an Air & Circus Museum. We are also talking with adjoining state chapters for combined rallies in 2024. All HKK members should expect to receive a finalized 2024 rally schedule within the next 60 days so all can plan their 2024 calendar. We are also hoping to have a surprise rally in the 2024 schedule as well.
What has been most important for me in 2024 is building new friendships with all NKK members. Retiring was not something I looked forward to, but the friendships I have made this year have made this a fantastic year. I look forward to building even more friendships at the 2023 International Rally. Thanks again to everyone for participating in Hoosier Kountry Klub 2023 events, we look forward to seeing them all again soon.
