Region Seven Directors
Greetings from Region Seven! As we begin a new year, we would like to thank the State Directors, Chapter officers and all the members of Region Seven who helped us get off to a great start as new Region Seven Directors. While writing this we are enjoying the sun and temps around 80. We are at Oak Alley RV Resort in Webster, Florida. Shortly, we will be returning home to the snow and cold for Christmas with our grandchildren and then return on early January. If you are going to be in Florida this winter let us know. Stop by for a visit or we may stop by as we are visiting in the area. We will also be at the Tampa RV SuperShow. Stop by the North Trails exhibit and say hello.
Plans for the Gettysburg Region Seven Rally, May 4-7, are coming along well. By the time you read this we should have a rally fee set and it will be on the NKK website. It has been hard getting price commitments given the current inflation. At this point we have 38 coaches coming and are setting up a waiting list and still hoping to be able to expand the number of sites we can have.
One goal of ours is to not just to recruit members but encourage members to join chapters. We know that if members join chapters it will enhance the experience of their NKK membership. This leads to stronger chapters with the ability to plan great rallies and activities. As you travel around the country, we ask that you look for other Newmar owners and see if they are in NKK and in a chapter. To quote one of Bob Hadley’s favorite sayings “Someone asked you to join, now go ask someone else to join”. Increasing membership makes it easier to plan more and better rallies.
We have had a large membership increase in the Maryland and Delaware area. There are about 50 members and currently there is no chapter. We have started discussion about creating a new chapter. If you are interested, please let us know. We will be meeting with Maryland/Delaware members in Gettysburg to continue the discussions.
May you be blessed with safe travels. We can be reached at: stevejoannewyble@gmail.com or Steve: 585-721-0868; Joanne: 585-721-0869.
