The New Jersey Garden Aires chapter recently wrapped up a memorable rally held from September 26-29, 2024, at the scenic Ocean City Campground. Known for its friendly atmosphere and well-maintained facilities, and wonderful staff the campground served as the perfect backdrop for a weekend of camaraderie, exploration, and great food.
One of the highlights of the rally was the incredible culinary experience provided by Chef Marc Burel, and his wife Kathy. Renowned within the RV community for his exceptional cooking skills, Chef Marc prepared a series of fabulous meals throughout the weekend. Each dish was a testament to his creativity and mastery, with a variety of flavors that delighted the entire group. His meals brought everyone together, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere around the communal dining area.
In addition to the great food and fellowship, the rally participants enjoyed a fascinating excursion to Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center in Millville, NJ. The group was treated to a captivating glassblowing demonstration, where skilled artisans showcased the intricate and delicate process of creating stunning glass art pieces. Visitors had the opportunity to witness the transformation of molten glass into beautiful sculptures, pumpkin’s and more, all while learning about the history and tradition of glassmaking in South Jersey.
Wheaton Arts is known for its dedication to preserving the heritage of American craft, and the Garden Aires group left inspired by the artistry and craftsmanship on display. Some members even took the opportunity to purchase unique pieces as souvenirs, ensuring they would remember the rally’s cultural highlight for years to come.
Beyond the planned events, the rally allowed plenty of time for socializing, relaxation, and exploring Ocean City’s natural beauty. The campground’s proximity to the shore offered opportunities for beach walks and fishing, while its wooded surroundings provided a peaceful retreat for those looking to unwind. Group members swapped travel stories, caught up on RV maintenance tips, and shared their love of the open road, all while enjoying the crisp autumn weather.
Overall, the New Jersey Garden Aires RV chapter rally was a huge success, combining delicious meals, cultural enrichment, and plenty of outdoor fun. As always, the group is already looking forward to their next gathering, where they can once again enjoy the joys of RV life together.
