Region One Directors
The one thing constant in life is change and once again our Newmar Kountry Klub has new leadership. We are excited to welcome Duane Paige & Laurie Hunt as the incoming International Directors. We have had the pleasure of working closely with them in Region One for several years and know that they’ll bring new ideas along with honoring the values of our organization. Duane & Laurie have served as chapter and state officers, even volunteering to be state officers in both Arizona and Utah in order to help facilitate a new chapter in Utah where there has never been a chapter. While we’ll miss their local leadership, we know the structures they put in place will help the leaders who step into their vacated positions continue to provide a fun Newmar Kountry Klub experience for our members.
We want to thank Ron & Wanda for their years of service to the Klub as local, regional, and International Directors. Under their tutelage the Klub has weathered the pandemic, the transfer of ownership, and has continued to grow.
If you’re considering joining the Newmar Kountry Klub cruise to the Caribbean next spring, do it! Under the professional guidance of Peggy Schafer and SkyMed travel you’ll have not only expert guidance of all the nuances of the ship and activities, but being with our group elevates your chances of being invited to special events and perks. On the recent Alaska cruise, our Newmar group was invited to celebrate the sail-away on the helideck with champagne toasts provided by the ship. You’ll also enjoy the private cocktail hours, hilarious game times, and Newmar roundtables with your NKK friends. The Alaskan cruise was a blast! We saw amazing wildlife: humpback whales breaching, orcas relaxing, eagles soaring, and salmon galore. Michelle Steenwyk even got a close-up video of a mother bear and her triplets leisurely enjoying their salmon breakfast.
Rally season doesn’t end with the International Rally! There are still several rallies in Region One to enjoy. The Nevada State/Mother Lode Chapter Rally in Winnemucca Nevada, the California Golden Bears Rally at Bodega Bay California, the Arizona/Utah State Rally in Scottsdale Arizona, the Region One Rally in Bakersfield, California, and the California Golden Aires no-host pop up rally in Calico, California are ahead. If you’re interested in attending any of these rallies check out the Klub Calendar on the website. If they’re full be sure to call and check the waitlist, there’s a good chance there’s a spot for you!
A huge THANK YOU to all the members who volunteered to help food service at the International Rally. We enjoy meeting all of you and so appreciate the time and effort you share with us to make meals together go smoothly. Breaking bread together is an important part of the Newmar experience, and your participation is crucial to a successful rally.
