New Mexico Chile Peppers – Presidents

Finally, spring is here! The weather has turned and like many others, our coach has been de-winterized. Also like many others, we don’t want moss to grow under our feet. We are currently in Louisiana just outside of New Orleans. We, with another Chile Peppers’ couple, are in route to the Cajun Rally in New Iberia, Louisiana. We are hoping for an entertaining and gastronomic five days at the rally with the goal of not wanting any Cajun food for some time afterwards!

Our New Mexico Chapter membership has increased by 23% in the past twelve months, and we are busier than ever. Like our membership levels, the Chile Peppers have been very busy and ramping up for the season! We recently held our periodic luncheon at one of our favorites, The Range Restaurant. Turnout was far larger than any other luncheon held in Chile Pepper history! The new officers were introduced to the attendees and aside from the great food, intros were done, and a lively discussion was held discussing future events. In addition, plans for our May Chile Peppers’ Rally are finalized.

Our Ruidoso, New Mexico Rally is completely sold out! More coaches will be attending than ever before. On behalf of all of the officers, we feel the efforts to plan a great rally will be appreciated by all! All attendees will have the opportunity to be busy. We will be going to a live performance of CATS, the Musical, as well as a Kentucky Derby party. There will also be visits to several historical sites. This, in addition to fantastic New Mexico food, will make all attendees want to stay! Finally, we are going to be supporting our New Mexico State Directors in their planning and execution of the September Rally in Santa Fe. This is a great time to be a Chile Pepper!
