The Chile Peppers spring has gotten off to a strong start! We started with a well-attended “No Host Luncheon and Rally” in Elephant Butte located in southern New Mexico. Wow, what a great get together! The luncheon celebrated Cinco de Mayo and a wonderful Mexican restaurant.
Immediately following the luncheon, many of us went on to Elephant Butte RV Park and Resort where we enjoyed three days of near perfect weather. The weather was so nice that the entire group went boating on a rented pontoon boat and even spent some time at a beautiful natural hot spring overlooking the Rio Grande River. There was even a corn hole championship at the campground! Let’s just say, it doesn’t matter the score…we all had fun! The no host rally was so fun that the Chile Peppers have decided to hold their 2025 chapter rally in Elephant Butte! Stay tuned.
Several of the Chile Peppers have been going to other Region 1 Rallies. These have all been enjoyable and I would suggest trying to join NKK Chapter Rallies whenever possible. It is always nice to meet others in the Newmar family.
In June the Chile Peppers had their annual chapter rally held in Angel Fire, New Mexico. Again, the weather was perfect, and the sold-out rally received many accolades from the attendees. The Angel Fire RV Park is a top-rated park and is a Newmar recommended park. If you weren’t able to attend the rally, this is one park you should put on your list of places to visit.
The rally started out with a “come as you sleep” catered at the RV Park’s clubhouse. There were many laughs and prizes were awarded to the winners! Many at the rally played pickleball and those that were first timers were given lessons by other rally attendees as well as a professional teacher, courtesy of the RV Resort. Other highlights of the rally included a chuckwagon BBQ, an off-road adventure, and a docent led visit to the Vietnam Memorial and Museum
The rally was fun, in a beautiful location, and the weather cooperated fully! From the Chile Pepper rally, many attendees drove a short distance up to Colorado to attend the Krusin Aires Chapter in Palisades, Colorado.
Many of the Chille Peppers headed up to our Newmar International Rally in Pueblo, Colorado. At the International, we can look forward to many educational sessions and social events. The Chile Peppers will be hosting some events and some of the officers will be leading some of the seminars. More on this in the next Legacy Magazine.
Safe travels to all of the Newmar family and we hope to see you down the road! We can be reached at email pnewman1234@msn.com or cell 214-437-3734.
