Nevada Mother Lode – Presidents

The snow and rain have pretty much ended here in Northern Nevada as summer has now arrived and the weather has warmed up considerably. We are still dealing with the substantial melting of the Sierra snowpack causing cold, full, and fast rivers and streams. However, we are fortunate that the local drought is over as the reservoirs (and Lake Tahoe) are full and the water table is being replenished.

The joint Nevada State – Nevada Mother Lode Chapter Rally will take place just after the International from October 15-18. The location is in Winnemucca, Nevada at the very nice New Frontier RV Park just off of Interstate 80 at 4360 Rim Rock Road. If you live in the west and are going home, this rally makes a great stop. Planned is a tour of a working open pit gold mine and a traditional Basque meal at the 1898 rooming house called “The Martin Hotel.” Our welcome meal at the RV Park will be prepared by Robert & Teresa Solomon-Billings, the California State Directors. You MUST call New Frontier RV Park and make your site reservations and pay for your site by Monday, September 4th at 775-621-5275. For an additional day or days at the beginning or end of the rally discuss and book with the RV Park when you make your reservation. Be sure to let them know you are with the Newmar Kountry Klub Rally. We are holding 20 back-in, FHU sites. The Winnemucca Rally information is now on the Klub Calendar.
