Chuck & Lynda Gumeson – Colorado State Directors/Kruisin Aires Presidents
Summer has literally flown by, and we are getting ready to host our State rally in mid-September up in the cool Colorado mountain air. After many days in the 90’s, I know we will remember to appreciate the coolness of fall.
Our rally is now sold out and we will host 17 coaches for the 4-day event. We have some fun activities planned and we will likely see some Aspen “golden” leaves, and if we are lucky, hear some elk bugling during the beginning of their rut season.
Wasn’t that International Rally great? Colorado Kruisin Aires members were proud to be the host state for the International Rally and many of our members volunteered to provide support in many different ways. And what about that fabulous dog park? The best! We all tried to stay cool in our own ways, but the dogs really knew how to have fun on that lush grass and greeting lots of other friends to play with. They are all just like their “people”! The dog park seemed to be a great socializing spot for renewing friendships and making new ones! A huge thank you to all of the Newmar Executives, our directors, the officers, the staff, the organizers, and the many volunteers who made this event wonderfully successful.
We are very thrilled to report that the Colorado Kruisin Aires now has a full board of officers! Welcome on board to Rick Haugen, who has stepped up to be our Vice President. In the role of Secretary, Inez Scholbrock has enthusiastically joined us, and we are happy that Nancy Witthuhn has agreed to continue in her position as Treasurer. As a board, we will get together more often and help to plan some amazing rallies that you’ll want to attend! It is wonderful for us to have some great ideas and expertise to add to our positions. We all want what is best for YOU!
Please join the Colorado Chapter of the Kruisin Aires and you’ll see what I mean. We aim to please! We will hold our annual meeting and luncheon on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the Golden Corral in Sheridan, Colorado, at 11AM. We have secured their private dining area, and they are located at: 3677 South Santa Fe Dr. Sheridan, CO, 303-643-5898. Please join us!
After our rally, Chuck & are off to our annual pilgrimage to Michigan and to the Newmar Service Center in Nappanee. We always love spending some of our vacation time there, along with having our coach serviced by the very excellent Newmar techs. You’ll never regret a trip to the mothership!
We have been checking out some rally sites around the state and getting some feedback from our members and we have been able to secure sites in Creede, Colorado for our 2025 State Rally, which will be September 7-11. This will be a return trip to Creede, as the state rally was held there in 2020. It was a hugely popular location. For those who are liking to travel a shorter distance, front range Fort Collins will be our location for a springtime chapter rally that will take place from May 20-23, 2025. As a Kruisin Aires member, you will receive an email announcing both of our rallies about a week before the official registration begins.
Don’t forget to check out all of the rallies and event offerings on the NKK website. There is something for everyone offered in every corner of our great country. You will definitely find an event that fits right into your travel schedule, maybe somewhere new, and then be sure to sign up as this is where the FUN begins!
