Robert & Teresa Solomon-Billings (21765)
California State Directors
As usual, Teresa & I hope everyone in your family, your friends and those who you come to love, are happy, healthy, and looking forward to another exciting year ahead.
So, let me start out with the good news from California. Impossible you say! Well, there is good news. California survived another winter with bright sunshine and warm temperatures. Yeah, I’m sure you non-Californians are jealous. The mai-tai’s were flowing in the pool cabana this winter, we started our yearly tanning routine, and the pool water was a brisky 82°. I did hear the rest of the nation had some harsh winter weather with what the local weather news person called ice and snow, with an artic blast from the north. For those who know how I winterize my beautiful Newmar coach, contact me at the 2023 Newmar Kountry Klub International Rally in Sedalia, Missouri for the winning prize. (Hint: the answer is in previous California State Director Legacy articles.)
Now for the Newmar Kountry Klub news, brought to you this morning by yours truly with assistance from the beautiful blond one. The three California Kountry Klub chapters have their rally dates scheduled for 2023. Each one will be fun and exciting so I will let the chapter officers tell you about them in their Legacy articles. As for the California State Rally, it has also been scheduled for May 14-17, at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, California. This year’s rally theme is focused on the history of the area. So, if you’re into mining and gold, come join us and sign-up through the Kountry Klub.
Ok, let me back track. It is now December 26, 2022. I am sitting here at the kitchen table writing this article reflecting on this past year and my family. My family is the most important treasure I have. It is what keeps me going daily to be the best I can be through my love for them. As like many families we have our ups and downs, good and bad days and at times we struggle with family members that need help. If you have a family member who is struggling from a loss of a loved one, or holidays that are just a difficult time of the year, please reach out and show them you are available for them. An honest personal visit or a touch of your hand, will give them peace and hope for the future.
Anyway, it’s time to say good-bye until my next thrilling Legacy article from your California State Director. Be safe, stay healthy and keep your beautiful Newmar coach rolling along the highways. We can be reached at email tvsolomon@aol.com, or cell 951-634-8065.
