California 49ers – Presidents

I am writing this after concluding our rally in beautiful Monterey, California. Our Vice Presidents Danny & Merri Estrada along with Nancy & I hope that everyone enjoyed the great weather, the food and camaraderie we all shared. We enjoyed the 831 Escape Rooms where everyone seemed to have a great time solving the mysteries of the six individually themed rooms. Jake, the 20-year-old CEO of The Carmel Honey Company educated us on the life of honeybees and also provided us with a tasting of the varieties of honey their bees produce. It was a delicious and informative experience. It is hard to believe Jake built this business from a 5th grade school project. One of our members gave an informative talk on the History of Gambling in the US and California. We also want to thank the many volunteers that stepped up to help with everything including set up, food service, cleanup, and anything else that was asked to keep this rally running smoothly.

The California 49er chapter was proud to recognize Tom Chelbana and his wife Teri. Tom has always been willing to share his vast knowledge and experiences with the entire Newmar family and beyond. It could be one-on-one, putting on seminars for local chapters, or even at our International Rallies. He is also a huge contributor to a national audience online. Most of us know him on the Irv2 forum as NEWMAR MAN.

We will get a few days rest before we start to get ready to attend the California State Rally, the Utah Pathfinders Rally as well as the Colorado State/Krusin Aires Rally in Durango before heading north to spend several weeks in Oregon and then head home at the end of July.
