Arizona Sun Catchers Chapter – Presidents

Are those of us from the desert SW snowbirds or sunbirds? Either way, as much as we love the red rock canyons of Arizona, we also find much to love in the contrasting landscape of our northern neighbors.

We joined the Newmar Calgary Stampede Caravan in July. We not only attended the Stampede but also enjoyed first class experiences in Banff thanks to our excellent Newmar Caravan leaders, Sue & Jerry Argabrite! A few highlights included inside upper deck seating at the stampede, raft trip on the Bow River, lunch at Chateau Lake Louise, brunch at Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, tour of a wolf/dog sanctuary, and a walk on the Columbia ice fields.

Following the caravan, we were welcomed into the Region 9 Rally in Banff National Park, hosted by Dave & Joanne Killey. What a friendly group! We were able to spend nearly a month in Canada in awe of the beautiful lakes and spiring mountains.

We strongly recommend the Newmar caravans and rallies, they are well organized and include many places you might miss on your own. See the NKK website to plan your next adventures.
