Region Nine Directors
I saw a sign the other day that said, “It isn’t how much time you spend somewhere that makes it memorable: it’s how you spend the time” David Brenner. This makes me think of all the Newmar functions we have attended whether it be a chapter rally, region rally, International or a Newmar special event. It is the time spent with our Newmar family that makes it memorable not how long the event is.
We will take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Valentines. Valentine’s Day, also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine.
Saint Patrick’s Day March 17 celebrates the feast of Saint Patrick in honor of Irelands patron St Patrick. One of the reasons we wear green on St. Patrick’s Day is because of Ireland’s nickname, The Emerald Isle. The green stripe in the Irish flag also played a role. Traditionally, the green represents the Catholics of Ireland, the orange represents the Protestant population, and the white in the middle symbolizes the peace between the two religions. I am sure it will be celebrated by many, be sure to wear your lucky shamrocks and finest green attire.
Many of you will be in you winter home south of the border, enjoying rallies, sunshine, and great weather. Those of you still in the great white north will be looking forward to March 20, 2023, the first day of spring!
