I saw a sign the other day that said, “A journey worth traveling is often filled with challenges which defines who you are and will become.” Author Unknown
Wow this can sure apply to all of us Rv’ers as we travel. We will have to face many challenges as we travel that we need to overcome. To mention a few finding a fuel station, a campground, shopping areas that you can easily maneuver in. We always fear the situation we may find ourselves in when we just can’t make a turn etc. and need to unhook the toad. But we persevere and manage to carry on. As a Rv’er, we must be constantly aware of our surroundings, low bridges, narrow streets, detours to mention a few.
We hope you and your family have a blessed Easter. The history of dyeing and coloring Easter eggs is a long one. The first example of coloring Easter eggs in Western culture was reportedly from around 1290 when King Edward I’s court purchased 450 eggs to be decorated with silver. This was likely the precursor of not just dyed eggs, but also the mega-fancy Faberge eggs that were popular with Russian royalty in the latter half of the 1800s. King Edward wasn’t the only Brit who loved decorated eggs. Dyed eggs, especially red ones, were often given as gifts to the church during the Easter season in England around this time. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, giving Easter eggs to kids became more common.
On May 22 Canadians will Celebrate Victoria Day. Victoria Day is a Canadian holiday that celebrates the birthday of Queen Victoria, who ruled the British Empire from 1837 to 1901.
