Steve & Laurie Lindberg from International Falls MN – We are excited for the new challenges as the Minnesota State Directors. We started RVing in 2015 with a 5th wheel camper and quickly moved up to a Newmar diesel pusher. We started out exploring the county on our own taking several long-distance trips each year. We then discovered the joy of traveling with other Newmar Kountry Klub members on our first special event in April of 2021 to San Antonio. Since then, we have attended many of the special events offered and have enjoyed seeing the people and friends we have made along the way. Wanting to learn more about the Newmar Kountry Klub, we attended our first International Rally in West Virginia. It was there we learned about Minnesota’s local chapter and joined the Minnesota Loons Chapter, where we took on the role as President and Secretary. The state director position became vacant, and we were successful in the appointment as the Minnesota State Directors. We are also expanding our involvement with Newmar special events as co-hosts and look forward to planning and hosting future special event trips.
We both grew up in the north, Steve in International Falls, MN and Laurie in the Emo, Ontario. Steve retired after 40 years as a construction Project Manager/Estimator for a local mechanical contractor in the commercial and industrial fields. Laurie was a Certified Municipal Officer and retired from the Town of Fort Frances as the chief financial officer and office manager. We live on Rainy Lake where we can see both Canada and the United States. We have four adult daughters and one adult son and are blessed with ten grandchildren. Steve owns and operates Rainy Lake One Stop, our family business since 1996, which keeps us busy.
