North/South Dakota State Directors
Greetings from South Dakota! Here is the latest information for our North Dakota/South Dakota State Rally to be held in Yankton, South Dakota, arriving September 23, and departing September 26.
On arrival we will gather at the host site for a meet and greet social, followed by a Dutch treat dinner. The next two days, we will explore Yankton, with visits to a 1909 historical building that was once a women’s ward for the Dakota Hospital for the insane and is now home to the Dakota Territorial Museum. We’ll visit the Meridian District (historical downtown), and the Meridian Bridge Plaza (a double-decker pedestrian bridge that crosses the Mighty Mo). We’ll carpool to the National Music Museum in Vermillion, South Dakota, which, according to NPR (National Public Radio) News, has one of the world’s largest and most significant collections of historical musical Instruments. We’ll wrap things up with a country experience at the WJ Ranch with a tour and chuck wagon dinner. This will be a rally you’ll remember for the unique experience it offers. We will be selecting a campground at a later date as most South Dakota campgrounds are seasonal and won’t open until April/May.
If you want to join us, please register with the Kountry Klub office by June 30, 2024. We will send you a complete itinerary and campground information. Rally fee TBD.
