Carl & Gayle Webber (20143)
The Carolinas (NC/SC) State Directors
Hey, y’all! We hope this finds you well and enjoying your Newmar as much as we have enjoyed ours over the past month. After leaving our “sticks & bricks” in mid-September, we kicked off our trek to the International Rally by meeting some family in Staunton, Virginia for a few days before proceeding to Sedalia, Missouri. As part of the pre-rally team, we arrived on September 25th to help set-up the “Service, Suppliers & Parts” venues, signage, etc. In our role as “Service & Suppliers Leads”, the following four days were a blur! It was great working with the Newmar Service Writers and Techs, and learning how that part of the business operates. It was also great meeting hundreds of our fellow Newmar family members as they submitted and/or followed-up on Service Work Orders.
Many thanks to Ron & Wanda Llewellyn for another wonderful International Rally and for all you have done over the past four years as NKK International Directors. While we will miss you in that capacity, we know y’all will enjoy having time to enjoy future rallies stress free, and we look forward to sharing that time with you.
Simultaneously, we welcome Duane Paige & Laurie Hunt as the incoming NKK International Directors. Duane & Laurie have previously served as Arizona and Utah State Directors and officially stepped into the International Directors role in October. We are excited about your goal to “refresh” the NKK organization.
A few interesting stats from the rally:
• There were 435 units (870 people) in attendance.
• Of those, 193 units (390 people) were first timers.
• Newmar sent a total of 80 employees.
• Of those, 60 were Service Techs.
• Those 60 Techs completed 402 service calls in 3-1/2 days.
Following International, we headed to the Outer Banks (OBX) of North Carolina to co-host the Region Five Rally with Region Directors, Gary & Wanda Smith. As usual, they knocked it out of the park! Camp Hatteras was the perfect venue to host the 89 coaches (195 people) in attendance. The fun, food and fellowship were all top-notch, and the historical attractions (not to mention the coast itself) extensive and interesting. THANK YOU, Gary & Wanda, for another blue-ribbon rally!
Looking forward, there are several rallies scheduled for The Carolinas, and we hope to see you at least one of them. You can check-out the details of each event by clicking on the provided link(s).

As we bid adieu to 2023 and welcome 2024, we wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and leave you with this old Irish Blessing for the coming year.
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm on your face
The rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
