Tennessee Volunteer Kruisers Chapter – President
Hello and happy fall from the Tennessee – Volunteer Kruiser Chapter! I hope that everyone is in the process of getting in the last of their vacations and road trips before the weather changes drastically. Are your calendars as full as ours? Most of those horribly HOT days are behind us and I look forward to some cooler weather to hit the road with.
The date of our Sedalia, Missouri International Rally is now in the history books, and I hope everyone has penciled in the dates and location of the 2024 rally. These rallies are always a great opportunity to meet new people and renew friendships with those that we haven’t seen in a while. Did anyone buy a new coach while shopping at the rally?
Our Volunteer Kruiser chapter has continued to grow in numbers this year. I would like to take this opportunity to give some recognition to some of our newest members: Steve & Bonnie Hilts have a Dutch Star and live in Crossville, Tennessee, Deborah Geer lives in Crossville, Tennessee and has a 38 ft Superstar Super C, Ted & Brenda Borkgren live in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee and have a 40 ft Ventana, Daniel & Christine Tobiason live in Sevierville, Tennessee and have a 35 ft 2022 New Aire 3593, Ron & Judy Phillips live in Cookeville, Tennessee and have a 39ft Kountry Star, Steve & Debbie Matthews have a 40 ft. Ventana LE 4037 and they live in Monroe, Georgia.
Additionally, by splitting our Secretary/Treasurer position, we have filled our Treasurer position with Julie McCalla stepping up. Julie was relatively new to the chapter at the time, but the officers and chapter members are enjoying working with her as our newest Treasurer. Dennis Ward remains our secretary.
Our chapter officers are continuing to scout out new locations for future rallies and when we stumble upon some hidden gems, we will let everyone know. As you may know, with the exception of our largest cities, Tennessee is not famous for its large, out of the way, well-endowed locations. Many of our campgrounds will not support large groups and 50amp full hookups are like looking for nuggets of gold. If you have traveled in our area and know of some great places, please let us know. We can be reached at SherynWard@gmail.com.
Thank you for taking the time to read our little piece of the Legacy. We look forward to any suggestions you might have to offer. Closing for now, more next time.
Happy Fall from Tennessee and the Volunteer Kruiser Chapter!
