Mid South Tri-State Director
As most of you know we lost our beloved Barbie this last July 13th. Of course, I have struggled with moving on in the Klub until she tapped me on the shoulder one August morning and said “Jim, quit feeling sorry for yourself and get your butt in gear for planning events at International. So, with this I have been talking to Gary & Wanda about the new coach display, card bingo, and the upcoming Pet Contest. I will be back on the road again and very active in the Klub. I would like to thank all of you for your outpouring of support, cards, church donations, and flowers in honor of her memory. I would like to include a poem that was written by the kids and spoken at her Celebration of Life Service.
Nebraska’s farm, where dreams first grew, In Wyoming’s wild, love’s spark happened, and she knew.
Though journeys vast, they roamed the land, To Georgia’s home, by fate’s command.
In North Carolina’s peaks, they found, A tranquil place, with love unbound.
Service, volunteering, hobbies galore, passions she’d share. A heart so giving, beyond compare.
An amazing wife, a mother dear, A loving grandmother, always near.
Her legacy of love, forever it thrives, in cherished memories, our hearts derive.
We would also like to thank Wanda Smith, who’s poem “Beyond the Sunset” was read at Barb’s service. She was a special lady in a special place with God now.
