Henry Blankenship – President
Mary & I will probably never forget the International Rally in Pueblo, Colorado. After the rally, we were having the front AC repaired. While this was happening, Dave at Rush Truck Center noticed that the engine was running rough. Upon inspection, he determined that there was a problem with the number 6 cylinder. It was an injector. After going to the Cummins Parts warehouse, Mary & I went to Texas Roadhouse for supper. We parked at the front door of the restaurant. We returned to the car after supper only to find, it wasn’t in the parking lot. Three days later, the Pueblo Police department found our car as we were returning home. It was in good condition and only the electronics were stolen. God is good. We got our car back in good condition.
Now for the good news. We have two new members in the Dixie Aires. They are Franz & Cynthia Lohrke. They are business professionals teaching in Auburn and Birmingham. They are planning a spring rally around the Birmingham area in 2025. They are also considering being officers next year. Welcome Franz & Cynthia! We’re happy to have you in our Dixie Aires family.
We are planning to have a weekend get together with a Ghost Walk in Florence, Alabama. This will be sponsored by Nancy Griffin. She is a lifetime resident of the area.
Remember the Region 5 rally is the last week of October in Brunswick, Georgia. Check the NKK Calendar.
