Florida Sea Turtles Chapter – President
The summer is over and many of us are heading home from our summer travels. The Sea Turtles are a wandering group. We have traveled this year across North America from Alaska to the Canadian Maritimes and everywhere in between.
As I write this article (in August) some of us Sea Turtles are in northern Newfoundland and here is how it began. It was determined that many of us wanted to go to the Canadian Maritimes either for the first time or as a return trip. A basic itinerary was developed using multiple sources for input at that point everyone was responsible for making their own campsite reservations.
Some members started at the beginning and left partway thru while others joined partway thru and stayed to the end thus, we call it a Hop on Hop off caravan. The trip was fantastic with visiting new places and eating lots of lobster and cod. We started in New Brunswick on July 22 and returned to Bar Harbor on September 16. We traveled to all four provinces staying about four weeks in Newfoundland.
As you travel home this year, remember it’s not where you go, but who you go with and meet along the way.
Wishing everyone safe and healthy travels and look forward to meeting new friends during our journey. We have the November and December rallies planned and scheduled. There is also the Newmar Owner’s luncheon the 2nd Wednesday of each month starting in December. Make sure to monitor the NKK Website Calendar to keep up with any scheduling changes.
