Seeking Region Directors

 

An old saying says “You only get out what you put in”.  For Glen & I this is absolutely true.

 

Glen & I joined Newmar Kountry Klub in 1992, 7 years after its inception.  At that time Canada was all one region, Region 7.  We were a sparse but enthusiastic bunch of Newmar owners. We attended our first Chapter rally in May 1993 and promptly became involved by stepping into the secretary/treasurer role of the Muskoka Ramblers.  Involved we became.

Our first attended International Rally was in NAPPANEE, 1993.  An experience it was for us. Our first introduction to seeing a tornado cloud and luckily it missed the rally site. Needless to say, we met some great people, and we were hooked.  Taking our vacation time from work, we attended as many rallies as we could, both local rallies and Internationals.

Over the course of 30 plus years we only missed 5 International rallies and 2 of those were because of Covid restrictions.

We became Regional Directors in 2010 and served 13 years in that role, retiring in 2023.

So back to the saying, we have gained a lot by being members of the Klub.  Places travelled to that we would never have known existed, friends gained we would have missed meeting and the joy of contributing to a great RV social club.  Congratulations to Newmar Kountry Klub for 40 years!

Muskoka Ramblers will be holding a chapter rally September 15-17, 2025, hosted by Vincent & Angela Geerdinck. The location is Cathcart Park & Campground, Mooretown, ON, CAN.
