Go New Places!!!!
A Hop, Skip and A Jump and here we are at the end of 2023. It feels like just yesterday we were struggling to write 2023 and now it almost time to write 2024. As we stated in our last article The only constant is change.
After the International Rally in Sedalia, Missouri, we had originally planned to join Region 5 in Cape Hatteras for their region rally, but instead we turned west and traveled to Pueblo, Colorado to assist the incoming International Directors with some planning for the 2024 International Rally. We know the rally location change was a surprise for many, but we believe the experience for you our members will be better served in Pueblo, Colorado.
We look forward to working more with Duane Paige & Laurie Hunt as the International Directors. They have been given a different direction than previous International Directors, by the President of Newmar Corporation, Casey Tubman. As with any organization we need to keep our direction moving forward, while keeping the best part of the past. Our Klub is special; we are more than members, we are friends, friends who have become family. It’s time to begin thinking and working outside the box.
In the last Legacy Magazine, Davie Kiley, Region Nine Director wrote ‘Go new places’, it was a slogan he saw on a moving truck. For some traveling to Pueblo, Colorado for the International Rally may not be a new place, but for many it will be. We were last in Pueblo in 2016. A lot happens in eight years! Using your Newmar RV is about travel, finding new adventures, friends and meeting up with friends who have become family.
We suggest you investigate Colorado and all it has to offer. Instead of just traveling to Pueblo, for the International Rally, consider it part of a longer trip, explore Colorado while you are there. We recommend that you register to arrive in Pueblo on Friday, July 26, and plan to explore all the town and surrounding area has to offer, from dining to shopping, Home of Heroes, to Farm stands and so much more. To get you started in your planning visit: visitpueblo.org it’s not just about the destination it’s about the journey as well. And while you are planning your trip, check out the Kountry Klub Calendar and see if there are any, chapter, state or region rallies along the way, either going to or coming back from the Rally. “Go New Places” and meet new friends.
Working closely with Duane & Laurie to begin the planning of the 2024 Kountry Klub International Rally has been a pleasure. They are open to ideas and concerns from you the members, they are interested in making this the best Klub it can be. They want to work as a team rather than working in isolation. Please keep the ideas and suggestion for the International Rally and overall Klub operations coming. We are available to talk anytime, by phone, text or email. We are your voice to the Kountry Klub Board of Directors, and we see positive changes coming.
