We have been busy moving from one rally to another. Having completed our Fulltimers Annual Rally and Business Meeting we caravanned with 46 other rigs to our International Rally in Sedalia, Missouri where we all parked together, nicely spread out in our own “Gated Community”. We enjoyed many informative seminars and social events before moving on to the North Carolina Outer Banks and the Region 5 Rally. We met many new friends while enjoying several meals together. Our next stop was in Hilton Head for the Newmar Hoots Rally. Our learning process again included meeting many new friends while attending several product seminars and eating way too much food, all to the benefit of our chapter as we gathered some good ideas for upcoming rallies.
We would like to introduce our officers for the 2023-24 term. Incumbents are:
President: Dave Shank & Lynn Barley
Vice President: Victor & Pamela Lorentz
Secretary: Barbara & Tom Palmer
And our new treasurer is Ted Vigeant – from Ted: “I have been camping with friends and traveling in campers since 2000. I bought my Dutch Star in 2018 and went full time in October of 2021. I have been enjoying rallies, visiting family and friends, and exploring America as a full time RV’er.”
We have been busy working on the implementation of electronic payments for membership and rally fees. Our testing of the process is going well, and our secretary and treasurer are refining the procedural steps for launching it. This will be ready for our annual renewal period at the end of the year.
Our Third Holly Jolly Rally in St. Augustine, Florida is now underway with a festive holiday spirit infecting everyone present. The excitement continues with all the decorations to be viewed in Saint Augustine as we explore the “Oldest City” in America.
We are pursuing a location for our Fulltimers Rally and Annual Business Meeting to be held in 2024 from July 21-26. The location will be within 3 hours’ driving time of Pueblo, Colorado. Additional information will be announced as soon as we have selected a location.
