Lynn & I spent a couple of weeks after the International Rally exploring Colorado before moving to Moab, Utah to join the Grand Circle Caravan with Sue and Jerry Argabrite, 22 other coaches and 1 Newmar Fifth Wheel unit. From September 2nd-30th, we traveled to 11 different camping locations while visiting 14 different National and State parks or monuments. It was a very interesting, and busy, month.
We then travelled back across the country to personally visit potential locations in Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia for our Fulltimers Annual Rally and Business Meeting to be held from May 30th to June 6th next year, 2025. You may notice that the dates reflect an extended rally. We have adjusted our timing to have a normal 5-day rally starting on Friday the 30th, while still conducting our annual meeting on Monday the 2nd, the week before International. The farewell dinner will be on Tuesday the 3rd, in order to accommodate those who anticipate signing up for either the Freightliner or Spartan classes and need to pull out on Wednesday the 4th to travel to Lewisburg, West Virginia. Those who remain will have an opportunity to relax and enjoy some free time with no planned events as they prepare to caravan on Friday the 6th to our International Rally and park together. As of this writing, we have the list narrowed down to three and hope to announce the final location in the next couple of weeks. Watch for our announcement on the NKK events website.
At the time of this writing, registration is open for our Fourth Annual Holly Jolly Rally to be held in Bradenton, Florida December 8th -12th, at the Linger Lodge RV Park. Get into the holiday spirit with the Fulltimers Chapter. Three (3) breakfasts are planned along with a welcome dinner, a holiday party and a farewell dinner at the Linger Lodge.
The aftermath of this years’ storms has affected our plans. We will have much more free time this year to visit several choices of museums and other historic sites of interest to explore, including the Ringling Museum complex with a Museum of Art, Circus Museum (2 buildings), and Bayfront Gardens.
We have also arranged an outing to an Elephant Conservation Ranch for a Spa Enrichment Experience. Spa enrichment is an integral part of the elephant’s daily life! The Spa Experience consists of a group of people that participates in caring for the Elephants. This is a hands-on experience including washing, brushing and touching. The Spa Enrichment also includes an Educational Encounter.
We also have preliminary plans for a Newmar Owners Luncheon, to be held in Polk City, Florida, pending confirmation of a February 27, 2025, date.
