We’re excited to announce that our 2027 Oregon Explorers Rally will be at the beautiful Olde Stone Village RV Resort in McMinnville, Oregon for 5 days and 4 nights. Our rally will provide you with 4 continental breakfasts and 3 meals using the wonderful resort clubhouse, which will be ideal for all our group gatherings.
McMinnville is a historic town in the heart of Oregon’s wine country with a downtown area that is full of restored, turn-of-the century buildings reinvented as restaurants, wine bars and galleries. Even though the McMinnville area is famous for fine wines; it’s also home to the North American Aerospace Museum, where the Spruce Goose: the world’s largest wooden aircraft and sea plane, designed by Howard Hughes, resides. This museum houses over 150 historic aircraft and spacecraft.
We are currently working on tours to a local vineyard and historical museum, along with visits to an area artist, known for their stone carving (trained by the Mt. Rushmore artist) and another for her 3D oil painting technique. You’ll be provided time to adventure on your own, participate in a Q & A session, and informational seminars** plus games and other fun activities for an action-packed week.
** Your chapter officers are also working on providing seminars, based on recent survey feedback that can help you with trip planning tools and internet connectivity in your coach. If you have any interest and/or knowledge with these topics and would like to be a part of the planning of these seminars, please contact us directly.
If you like a little more adventure, before or after the rally, hot air balloon rides are available in the area, weather permitting, through Vista Balloon Adventures. You can partake with a ride of your own, or like we did by simply enjoying all the excitement as others partook in their rides in the quiet early morning air. Arrangements and cost for this would be separate from the rally fee.
Reserving your site: The RV site cost will be separate from the rally fee, giving you the opportunity to come a few days early and/or stay a few days later, all at a rate of $74 per site, plus tax with a 10% discount given to those with a Good Sam membership or Military discount.
Once we’ve received your online registration and rally fee payment, instructions will be sent to you on how to make your site reservation. We have 25 sites reserved, near the club house, providing both back in and pull through sites.
Note: Cancellation Policy for Region, State/Provincial, Chapter and Full-timer’s Rallies can be found in the quarterly Newmar Kountry Klub, Road Ahead magazine or on the NKK website, under the Klub Info. tab.
