Wow, 16 coaches from Oklahoma traveled to the Region 3 Rally in Hot Springs Arkansas along with several other members of the Okie Chapter who reside in other states. As you all know this group likes each other, so we had a pre-rally meal on both Tuesday and Wednesday night before the rally officially began on Thursday. Such a fun time and a great group.
A very special couple for the group made a visit on Wednesday and a lot of us made a trip to the Pancake Shop. If in Hot Springs check it out the blueberry pancake is the size of the plate. It was so good to see Larry & Patsy Wood, the goats of the Oklahoma group. We miss seeing them, but always in our hearts.
The rally itself was a lot of fun and would have to call this one a 20-pound rally. The games and cornhole tradition continued and 3 out of the 4 winners in cornhole were Okies. Oaklawn was such a fun time and of course in keeping with tradition hats were plentiful. Thank you Jim & Lorie!
A few Okies will be traveling to International and will be hoping to catch up and visit again in Wyoming.
September 15th to 18th of 2026 will bring a joint state rally with our friends in Louisiana. The rally will be Hot Springs Arkansas at Lake Catherine’s. We are looking forward to this event the new friendships it will bring. The Okies are branching out!
Fall/Winter will also bring our Okie Chapter Christmas party. This event is full of fun, good food and a heated Dirty Santa gift exchange

Finally, our sad update – we will truly miss our Region 3 Directors Jim and Lorie Landers, you all have been so fun. Thank you for all your support to the Region. We will miss you, but just know you always have a home in the Oklahoma (Okie chapter) Kountry Klub.
