Mid-Atlantic State Directors and New Jersey Garden Aires Secretary

Hello everyone from New Jersey where the trees are changing their leaves and putting on a beautiful display of color! Mike & I just returned from two wonderful rallies:

The Region 7 Rally-hosted by Steve & Joanne Wyble, held at the beautiful Swan Bay Resort and Marina in Alexandria, New York. It was very well attended, and we got to meet many friends old and new. The setting on the shores of the beautiful St. Lawrence River gave us an opportunity to cross the border and visit Canada for the day. Our group took a boat cruise to the historic Singer Castle where we learned about its history as well as some history of the area. The delicious meals were provided by the gentleman who operates the campground food truck, and we were also visited by a local Amish Farmer who had his local fruits, vegetables and baked goods for sale.

 

The New Jersey Garden Aires Rally-hosted by April Danley & Colin Smith-held at the Ocean City Campground and Beach Cabins in Ocean View, New Jersey. Despite five last minute cancellations due to health and coach issues, our remaining eight coaches still had a wonderful time bonding and feasting on the scrumptious and elegant meals prepared by our personal chapter chefs, Marc & Kathy Burel. We also paid a visit to the nearby Wheaton Arts Village where we learned about the development of the glass industry in southern New Jersey and watched some fascinating and intricate glass blowers making beautiful seasonal pumpkins (which some of us may or may not have purchased!).  Our Chapter President April Danley is herself a glass blower; so, this was especially interesting as she was able to impart some personal details to the craft.

We hope that you all are doing well and that 2025 brings new opportunities for our Newmar gatherings, as we miss you all.
