Ohio State Directors

We are the new Ohio State Directors and wanted to introduce ourselves. We have been camping since 2016 (not always in a Newmar). Our favorite places to go are Shipshewana, Indiana and Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. We are looking forward to making Ohio a fun filled, rally state creating camaraderie and forever friendships.

 

Our plans for 2025 are still in the works but watch the Klub Calendar on the Newmar Kountry website for details. Gregg retired in April of 2024, and we outdid ourselves camping this year. We were able to attend many Kountry Klub rallies. New friends were made across the country, and we visited states we never had the chance to visit before. Ohio has many amazing places to explore, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

 

Our first foray into camping was in a rented Fleetwood Storm Class A. We were traveling with 3 dogs at the time. It was 95 degrees outside and the air conditioning inside the rig could not keep up. That was miserable to begin with, but when we smelled gasoline, discovered it was dripping on the generator exhaust pipe we had running desperately trying to keep our dogs cool, we were forced to stop somewhere in Tennessee in a Wendy’s parking lot. Needless to say, when we decided to buy a camper of our own, a class A was not an option. Our friends purchased a fifth wheel, and we soon followed. They eventually traded their fifth wheel in for a Newmar Mountain Aire, discovered the many amazing benefits of the Newmar Kountry Klub, and persisted in convincing us to buy a Newmar also. So, here we are today, still loving our Newmar and looking forward to many more years of camping.
