Allen & Natalie Jones – Oklahoma State Directors
Wow! Where has the summer gone. We are so looking forward to cooler weather, if there is any to be found. Fall is a great time to get out and chase the elusive cooler weather that we are longing to see along with the changing of the leaves, pumpkins and a good smore around the campfire. Fall is also the start of football season and tailgating. We hope that if football is a part of your fall routine that you enjoy following your team and enjoying the time with family and friends.
International Rally is in the books and boy did the hot weather follow us all to Pueblo. It appears that the special excursions planned were a big hit with the group. As always, your generosity for the caring sharing program at International blows us away. It is a privilege to know that there are so many people who truly care for our neighbors.
Thank you to all the volunteers from parking, registration, meal servers, those behind the scenes and the cheerful golf cart shuttle drivers. These rallies could not happen without all of you.
Thank you to the Klub office, Newmar Executives, Newmar Techs, vendors and all the Directors from International, Regional and State levels for your hard work. It takes a lot of people to plan and pull off these rallies and while there were a few hiccups along the way we hope that each attendee made a new friend and learned little more about their coach, maybe even bought something you thought you could not live without for your coach.
The Oklahoma (Okie Kountry Klub) attendees found a little shade on Sunday night at International and got together for an ice cream sundae social. It was a chance to catch up with old friends and meet some new friends. Allen & I enjoyed hosting this and thank you to Bill & Susan Effron for your help. Thank you to new Region 3 Directors Jim & Lorie Landers for coming and getting to know the Oklahoma crew.
The Region Potluck on Wednesday night was a great success and well attended by the members of Region 3. We enjoyed fried chicken and to many other delicious appetizers’, side and deserts. Thank you, Wade’s RV in Tulsa, for providing the chicken and the members did the rest. It was a good time to meet other members and trade stories and ideas.
Mark your calendar and save the dates April 24-27, 2025, for the Oklahoma State Rally at Wanderlust Crossing RV Park in Weatherford, Oklahoma. For those who have been you know what a great park this is and for those that are new to the Klub you are in for a treat. So much Route 66 history and a space museum second to none in this western Oklahoma town. The rally has been posted on the NKK Calendar. More information about price and activities will be added later in the year as we are still in the planning phase. We are excited to be going back!!
Also be on the lookout for Okie Chapter Events this fall and into the winter of 2025.
In your travels be sure to check out any Newmar Kountry Klub events along the way. These rallies are a great way to learn about other parts of the country, different foods and who knows you might make a return trip to the area.
Safe travels to all. We can be reached at Allen 405-812-3150 osuallen1@gmail.com or Natalie 405-812-3152 osunat1@gmail.com.
