Randy & Anna Landreville – Kansas State Directors
Greetings from Kansas. A lot has taken place since our last letter: We said our final good-byes to Jeanette Wehmeier. She & Darrell were the former Kansas State Directors. As many of you know Jeanette passed away on October 7th at her home in Texas, her memorial was held in Topeka, KS. She was/is truly loved.
On to the International Rally in Pueblo where we had a blast. I went white water rafting for the first time and loved it (even if I ended up in the water). The huge dog park was a blessing as well. I personally thought that Jim & Lorie Landers did a great job as Region 3 Directors heading up the Food Service.
(Sure there were a couple hiccups). It was not their fault that supplier ran out of desserts.
I just wanted you guys to know. After leaving the International rally, we headed for the World’s Fair of Money in Rosemont, Illinois. I even got to meet a couple guys from history. I love looking at old money and holding a couple high denomination bills that I could never afford to own. I asked the gentleman if I could hold a $1000 bill, then a $5000 and finally a $10,000 bill. (Yes, they do exist, and you can own one for the meager sum of $375,000).
Today we finished up the Kansas State Rally, I do believe that everyone had a great time. If you have never been to Abilene, Kansas, you should make that a destination stop. Former United States President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s boyhood home, Presidential Library, military museum, Seeley house mansion, Abilene old town gun fighters and so much more can be done and seen there.
As this is written our next rally is September 26-29 at McPherson, Kansas. We really have an awesome group of Newmar Owners in Kansas. Thank you very much to Bruce Renick at our State Rally for all his hard work, it made my jobs so much better.
I hope you get out, to join Bob & Mary Sue Briggs in October for their Carthage, Missouri rally (it promises to be a good time).
Until next time, take life easy in your Newmar recliner’s. We can be reached by email, text or phone: 785-307-2196 (Randy) email: randy.landreville@icloud.com or 785-307-1731.
