Bill & Angela Mannion (19246)
Tennessee State Directors
Hello from the great state of Tennessee. The Tennessee State Rally was held in Chattanooga this past May. Twenty-five coaches made the trip and good weather was had by all. We toured the National Medal of Honor Heritage Center where we learned of several Tennesseans who earned the Medal. One evening we had a dinner cruise on board the Southern Belle Riverboat. Perhaps the highlight for many was the presentation by a park ranger on top of Lookout Mountain. Of course, we took the Incline Railway up to the top of Lookout Mountain.
Ranger Jeremy took us through the history of the Battle of Chattanooga in detail that kept us enthralled for an hour.
We had put out a request to bring food for the local food bank and our Klub came thru wonderfully. 128 lbs. of food was donated and $300 in cash was the final tally. Great Job Tennessee Krusiers!
Angela & I are spending the last half of June babysitting our grandson Niko up in Pennsylvania. Then we come back to Tennessee for a family 4th of July gathering at Watts Barr Lake. And one week later, we start our trip to Pueblo for the Newmar International Rally. Having missed the last two years, we are very excited to go again and catch up with friends.
After the International Rally, we intend to spend two weeks moving north up into South and North Dakota, including the Badlands. Then slowly make our way back east with a stop at Nappanee for some service. We’ll be at the mother ship starting on September 3. If you’re there please say hello.
For next year’s Tennessee State rally, we’re thinking Nashville or Knoxville. If you have any thoughts on those locations, please let us know. We can be reached at 917-494-5636 or wmannion@att.net.
