Greetings from Oregon! It certainly has been an eventful fall season here in the Northwest. We hosted our first Kountry Klub rally for some of the most pleasant and gracious people anyone could ever hope to meet. Then we were delighted to welcome an amazing group of officers for Oregon’s newly reestablished Klub chapter. What an exciting time of positive change it’s been!
Happy Memories of the Oregon State Rally at the Coast
We were delighted to have 17 coaches join us in Newport for our rally in September. Though we did enjoy a variety of activities, I must say that the marine animals and scenery stole the show at this event. We saw fascinating tide pool creatures, curious seals, noisy sea lions, large jellyfish and a pod of frolicking whales in their natural, stunningly rustic habitats during our coastal bus tour and outings by the coastline. What’s more, our visit to the Hatfield Marine Science Center provided opportunities for hands-on interactions with many of these sea critters.
Beaver Coach Sales displayed a beautiful new Dutch Star 4081 that featured the new two-tone cabinetry option. The consensus among attendees was that this is a visually appealing and modern alternative that we would definitely consider including in a new Newmar motorhome. ITR was kind enough to provide a very informative seminar regarding helpful Oasis tips and maintenance information. SkyMed gave an enlightening session as well about preparing for emergencies while on the road.
Of course, the camaraderie that comes with shared meals and games was another highlight. In addition to Card Bingo and LCR, participants played Kountry Klash (a new Klub version Family Feud) to compete for $50 off next year’s Oregon State Rally. We hope that others had as much fun attending this rally as we had hosting it. We took away an abundance of fun memories that we will look back on fondly for years to come.
Announcing the New Oregon Explorers Chapter
We are thrilled to report that Oregon’s once dormant chapter has been reestablished! It has a fresh, new name, The Oregon Explorers, and an amazing & enthusiastic leadership team. We have already witnessed this group’s commitment to creating opportunities for fun, fellowship, and adventure among members. We are proud to be among the chapter’s new members and encourage you to consider joining the Oregon Explorers as well. Don’t miss their article in this edition of Legacy for more information.
