INDIANA

Indiana State Directors
We had a good time at the NKK International Rally in Pueblo, Colorado – despite the very hot temperatures and hearing about the unfortunate losses of other people’s personal property.
2024 has been another good camping season for those of us who do the majority of our camping in the mid-west. Unfortunately, the weather has not been kind to folks located in the southeastern states nor has it done any favors for folks who like to spend their winters in that part of the country.
We are lining up for a good 2025 rally season in Indiana with our Indiana State Rally July 16-20, a Hoosier Kountry Klub Rally August 7-10, and a second HKK Rally September 22-25.
The Indiana State Rally will be at the Pla-Mor Campground in Bremen, Indiana, about 8 miles from the Newmar factory and the Service Center, in the heart of Amish country and close to Shipshewana. The Pla-Mor Campground is holding 20 sites, some 50 Amp FHU and some 30 Amp FHU. Reservations can be made either online at plamorcampground@gmail.com or by calling 574-546-3665. The campground is closed for the winter, but the reservations system is still active. Be sure to mention that you are with the Newmar Kountry Klub.
The second rally will be at the Ouabache Trails Park at Vincennes, Indiana, and will be a joint chapter rally with the Illinois Kountry Kuzzins chapter. It will be held in a very history-rich part of far-southern Indiana.
And the third HKK rally will be at the Oak Lake RV Resort, Fair Oaks, Indiana, and will be very close to the Fair Oaks Farms, an ultra-modern dairy and livestock operation that has to be seen to be believed. Many fun activities are being planned.
There are many exciting events being planned within Region 6 for the 2025 season, so keep an eye on the Calendar section of the Newmar Kountry Klub website for developing details about each of the activities. See the Newmar Kountry Klub website to register for the rallies.
A couple of appropriate thoughts for my age bracket:
Not to brag or anything but I can forget what I’m doing – while I’m doing it…
Thinking back to when “a new hip joint” meant someplace I might like to go on Friday night…
We look forward to seeing you all soon and frequently. Travel safely and stay safe. We can be contacted by email: sthornbg@aol.com or pdthornbg@aol.com, or telephone 574-329-9188.
