Pennsylvania State Directors
We just traveled 1,250 miles from sunny southwest Florida to rainy, cold, Northeast Pennsylvania. On our journey home we stopped at Gaffney, South Carolina at Freightliner for our annual service. What a great experience. They go over your chassis, engine, and generator from one end to the other with a fine-tooth comb. They even found a broken “Bump Stock” above the dual axle on the drivers’ side where the average mechanic wouldn’t even know to look for it and if they did find it, it would have taken four to seven days to get it. It took them ten minutes because the manufacturing plant is ten minutes down the road. While we were there, we also did the factory tour. How impressive that was to see the three different lines…. one for motorhomes, one for trucks… and one for school buses. What impressed us was the number of stations along the way for quality control.
While there we faced three inches of rain and when we left Friday morning there was three flood alerts on my phone only to drive to upper Virginia to have a flood alert that next morning then to arrive in Pennsylvania on Saturday to find out the next seven days are rain with three inches on Sunday. We are watching for Noah. The sun will shine again!
We are excited because this is the beginning of the rally season. In May was our Region Seven Rally and in June is the West Penn Rally, Erie, Pennsylvania which has 36 coaches
registered. In September the Penns Friends Rally in Gettysburg will be another great one. Immediately following is the Pennsylvania State Directors Caravan Rally heading to the International Rally. So far, we have 14 coaches signed up for the caravan.
Always remember to keep our Military, Veterans, and Law Enforcement in your prayers.
